Birth: APJ Abdul Kalam was born on On 15th October, 1931, as a son of Zainulabdeen and Ashrama was born in a small municipality of Rameswaram district located in Pamban Island, Tamil Nadu. He belongs to an Islamic family.

Educational Achievement Of APJ Abdul Kalam

Abdul Kalam started his schooling in primary school in Rameswaram. But since his family was poor, he went to work for his family at a young age.

After completing his schooling, studied physics at “St. Joseph’s College” in Tiruchirapalli. Bachelor of Physics in 1954.

Abdul Kalam, who started his research career as a scientist in the Aerial Development
Section (DRDO) in 1960, designed a small helicopter for Indian Army.

Later, he continued his research works at the Indian Space Laboratory (ISRO), and played a key role in the launch of satellite in the Sub Missile Committee (SLV). Rohini-I successfully launched a subcontinent called Rokini-II using a rocket in 1980.

This has become an achievement not only for him but also for India. In 1981, the Central Government honored him with India’s biggest award “Padma Bhushan” in appreciation of such incredible work.

From 1963 to 1983, he has performed several tasks at the Indian Space Laboratory and made a key role in the “Pokran Nuclear Weapons Test” in 1999.
